OutcomeWatch Privacy Policy
OutcomeWatch (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a Shopify app built and operated by MoeZee Shop. This policy explains what data OutcomeWatch accesses and stores when a merchant installs it, and what we do and don’t do with it.
What OutcomeWatch does
OutcomeWatch checks whether an order automation produced the result a merchant expected. After an order event and a merchant-chosen deadline, it reads the order’s current state from Shopify and records a pass or an incident. It does not build automations and does not modify the store.
What data we access
OutcomeWatch requests two read-only access scopes: read_orders and read_fulfillments. Through these we read and store, per order event:
- Order ID and order number
- Order tags
- Financial status and fulfillment status
- Timestamps of the event and of the check
- The shop domain and shop-level app configuration (watchdogs, billing plan)
On paid plans, incident alerts are sent to the store owner’s email address as provided by Shopify.
What we don’t access
OutcomeWatch does not request the read_customers scope and does not store customer personal data: no customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, payment details or browsing activity.
How we store and process data
Data is stored only for the shop that installed OutcomeWatch and used only to provide its features. We use Railway for hosting and a managed Postgres database. The one other third party is Resend, which delivers incident-alert emails on paid plans; it processes only the email’s contents (order number, expected and observed state) and the recipient address. We don’t sell data, share it for advertising or analytics, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
Security
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Webhook requests are verified before they are processed.
Data retention and deletion
Watchdog configurations and incident history are kept while the app is installed. If a merchant uninstalls OutcomeWatch, monitoring stops immediately and all data for that shop is permanently erased when Shopify sends its mandatory shop/redact notification, no later than 48 hours after uninstall.
OutcomeWatch also implements Shopify’s customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks. Because we don’t store customer data, these have nothing to return or erase, but the endpoints are live and respond correctly.
Your rights
Merchants and their customers can ask what OutcomeWatch holds, or request deletion, at any time by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be communicated to installed merchants.
